Flying and Gliding
Ever wanted to soar through the sky? Have dreams of one day becoming a pilot? No. 19 Squadron offer both powered and un-powered flights to give you a taste of being a pilot.
Flying Camp
Flying camp is often the first time our cadets get the opportunity to sit in the pilots seat. Introductory flights are what put the 'air' in Air Training Corps.
Gliding
Not all aircraft have engines. Either towed into the air by a tow-plane or catapulted using a winch, gliding uses the thermal energy coming off the land to stay in the air. Great fun and at a fraction of the cost of powered flight.
national aviation experiences
The New Zealand Defence Force also offer courses available to our personnel, which allow them to go around the country and learn how to navigate and fly aircraft. The Royal New Zealand Air Force also offer an Air Force experience which allows a small group of personnel to get hands on experience behind the controls of Air Force Aircraft.
